I've had these made for a while now but was unable to photograph them.  Today was my opportunity to photograph, I think they came out pretty good.  I'm still learning the tricks of photographing jewelry.  I'll get there!

Oh, on a side note, classes start tomorrow, that's why I've been MIA for the past few weeks.  I've been trying to get my schedule together.  It still hasn't.  I seriously hate scheduling.  I don't know if I'm gonna make it out alive tomorrow!

New Toy...

I just went out and bought my Nikon Coolpix S6100!! I'm super excited and I can't wait to shoot some of my jewelry pieces.  I think this will motivate me to finish painting my desk so I can finally set up my photo station!  Here's a test photo I just shot with no natural light the colors are just AWESOME!

Smokey Quartz Pendent

This was a piece I made for myself. Simple. Elegant. Beautiful.  Just in time for fall. I might add to this since it seems a bit plain.

On a side note tomorrow is Bead Fest! I'm so excited I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.  Even though I tell myself that I'm on a budget and that I'm only going to be looking for specific things, I know that in the past it hasn't worked out like I have planned.  I always find those beads that I just can't live without! Hopefully, I'll be a bit more prepared this time around.

I decided that I needed to make some easy to wear pieces to replace the ones I've sold at the boutique.  I've started that adventure with the above fresh water pearl pendent. 

Experiment #1

Yesterday, I went to Joann's and I bought Beadweaving with Cabochons by Marie Geraud  because I LOVED her Syrah design.  I think I'm missing something when it comes to tension, either I have too much or not enough in some places, it might end up that I have both problems. This was my feeble attempt at one motif.

I have a lot of work ahead of me.  It was also very silly of me to buy the grey rounds without buying corresponding grey bicones.  Sigh.  Thankfully I had enough for one motif even though I have no idea what I'm going to do with this. 

Bad Blogging!

I know I've been neglecting my blog lately, my last post was I think two weeks ago... Yikes!  I've been busy cleaning and organizing my room, study room, and workroom... I have too many rooms.  The good news is that they're clean but I still have a long way to go on organizing, I have way too many beads.  So what did I do today? I went out and bought more beads.  I have so many ideas swirling in my head that I don't know where to start.    I have started a cab bracelet with a color scheme that's grey and black.
